Big Bear recently completed a new kitchen with custom seating in Lakewood, Ohio if the home of our new client. The project involved a Simonton Perfexion white vinyl double hung window, Maple Cabinets via Legacy Crafted, custom color Sherwin Williams Dried Thyme paint, Leather finish Taupe Grey perimeter countertops, Custom diner built-in seating and table platform with wood bench seat tops and countertop, Vinyl flooring, Fez white gloss backsplash tile and a Custom tile backsplash above the range.
Details of new kitchen with custom seating in Lakewood, Ohio
Demo and Framing:
• Demolish entire kitchen including soffit, remove bearing wall and install structural beam to support 2nd floor load and sister existing ceiling joists.
• Remove flooring through out kitchen, steps and landing.
• Construct kneewall for diner style built-in breakfast nook.
• Replace kitchen window with new vinyl double hung window.
Electrical and Plumbing:
• Re-wire kitchen to code.
• Replace 2 electrical panels in the basement with 1 new breaker panel.
• Run gas line for range.
• Install necessary shutoffs in the basement for refrigerator.
• Update shutoffs for the kitchen sink.
Insulation and Drywall:
• Insulate exterior walls and ceiling per building code requirement.
• Hang and tape drywall.
• 1st, 2nd and final coat drywall and then sand and prime drywall.
• Apply 2 coats of ceiling and wall paint.
Cabinets, Countertops and Backsplash
• Install upper perimeter cabinets by using a laser level to ensure level cabinets.
• Install crown moldings.
• Install base perimeter cabinets.
• Fabricate and install custom range hood.
• Fabricate and install custom diner built-in breakfast nook.
• Tile and grout backsplash.
Flooring and Trim:
• Inspect floors and install underlayment.
• Level floors where needed with self-leveler and ardex.
• Install vinyl plank flooring and floor transitions.
• Install window casing, baseboards, cabinet toe kick and shoe molding.
Finish Electrical, Finish Plumbing, Appliance Installation:
• Install outlets, switches and coverplates.
• Install undercabinet lighting along the perimeter cabinets.
• Install pendant light above sink and can lights in ceiling.
• Plumb sink and install faucet and disposal.
• Install refrigerator, range and dishwasher.
Inspections:
• Rough inspections for electrical, plumbing and framing.
• Final inspections for finish electrical, plumbing and overall building.
