Big Bear recently completed a kitchen remodel in Brecksville, OH at the home of Dawn and Joshua who were looking to update their older kitchen with custom depth cabinets and a custom island for entertaining. They love coffee and also wanted a dedicated coffee bar station. Their old cabinets were replaced with Cabinet Joint Constoga cabinets. The Perimeter countertops are Bohemian White Quartzite and the island countertops are Emerald Quartzite. Tile backsplash is Bianco Puro Honed Marble Arabesque, Accent tile above stove is Havana Nacre Stone. Kitchen floor tiles are Diamond City Black Porcelain in a 16” x 28” pattern.

Demolition:
- Removed cabinetry and countertops
- Removed drywall and flooring
- Remove all old wiring
Framing and Prep work:
- Framed in opening from dining room to the kitchen
- Built temporary walls, build kneewall
- Installed lvl’s and install subfloor
- Install insulation at exterior walls
Rough HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing:
- Vent hood to exterior of the home
- Rough plumbing to building code
- Plumb kitchen sink, wetbar sink, and pot filler
- Rough electrical to building code
- Run lines for appliances, switches, outlets, can lights, pendant lights, etc.
Finish Work:
- Install drywall, then 1st, 2nd, and final coat drywall.
- Sand, prime and paint walls and ceilings
- Prep floors to receive self leveler, primed and put down self leveler where needed
- Install Schluter ditra on floor
- Install floor transitions, layout tile and install at 45 degree angle, grout and silicone
- Assemble Cabinet Joint cabinets
- Install island support brackets
- Layout island and perimeter cabinets and install
- Template and install countertops. Install crown molding, cabinet toekick, baseboards and casings
- Prep backsplash and install tile
- Install cabinet hardware
- Complete finish electrical and plumbing
- Install appliances
